pink eye symptoms?

i just got it like yesterday. my eye has been REALLYY itchy and irritated. i had to take off my contacts this morning right after breakfast(i put them on before) because my eyes felt so itchy. does it have to do w/ my contacts? because i get these pink eye symptoms like every month. i use visine but it works like temporary.
is it also allergies? because yesterday i also got a cold(temporary because of the change of the weather) could it also be that?
i forgot to add that in the morning i wake up with crust in my eyes haha or as the first answerer calls it “eye ball snot”. i can’t open my infected eye, its kinda been going on for a while.

Dont worry mate, you have conjuntivites. Conjuntivites is not harmfull as long as you seek for treatment, Yes it is infectous and you could damage the optic nerve if it is not treated, seek medical advice.
