Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy Treatment

Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy recovery experiences?

I was wondering if anyone has ever had this operation done? It is for the treatment of palmer hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating of the hands) I am due to have this operation a week today and would like to hear from anyone who has had this proceedure performed and what pain they suffered following the op and how long before you resumed a normal lifestyle again?

I thought you were kidding with the Sympathectomy! It sounds like having your sympathy gland removed! But having checked, I see you are deadly serious. A mate of mine had that problem, many years ago, and no one thought about it being a medical problem.
However, its the Endoscopy bit that intrigues me! If they are going to put a scopy up your endo and take care of the problem that way, then I should think you will walk out of the hospital and resume your normal life straight away. Maybe you will be walking a little like John Wayne for a couple of hours, but hey……!
But I don’t know for sure.
Good luck! Bet you will enjoy not having damp hands at all times!
